Now that the conference is almost upon us, this page will provide some information on different aspects of the conference that are relevant especially to students. First, for all of you who are volunteering to contribute to the AAAI-07 student blog, there will be a station at the conference for doing this onsite! Also, if anyone wants to contribute, but is not signed up to do so, please email either Martin Michalowski or Matt Michelson and we can add you as a contributor.
NEW Events for AAAI-07!
There are two new exciting events this year. All students are encouraged to attend the first annual Student-Only Reception sponsored by ISI, taking place Tuesday July 24th, from 7:30-10:30pm at UBC Graduate Student Center in the ballroom and adjacent Thea's Lounge. This reception includes food and beverages and provides a relaxing atmosphere
for students to interact.
Secondly, new to AAAI is the AI Video competition. The goal is to share with the world the excitement of research
and application in AI through short videos. The best videos will be screened at AAAI-07 and awarded prizes. Go here
for details.
Lunch with Fellows Event
Back by popular demand, AAAI-07 will again be hosting an event for students to meet the AAAI Fellows for an informal lunch. This event was very popular and fun last year and will fill up quickly! To signup for the event, go here. Signup deadline is July 14th.
